The #BNMovieFeature is celebrating International Women’s Month with these award-winning movies produced by women. We specifically want to celebrate the women who have been integral to movie making in Nigeria, featuring a selection of brilliant movies from Nollywood.

This section, we showcase full-length Nigerian movies for our film-loving BNers. There are throwback movies, new movies, Yoruba movies, Igbo movies, Hausa movies, English movies, short films, serials and so much more.

The movie for today is the Jade Osiberu–produced movie titled “Isoken”.

As a filmmaker, Jade Osiberu hit the limelight with the award-winning 2017 romantic comedy movie, “Isoken”. She is also the producer and writer of “Gidi Up” and “Nigerian Trade“.

Everyone in the Osayande family worries about Isoken. Although she has what appears to have a perfect life – beautiful, successful and surrounded by great family and friends, Isoken is still unmarried at 34 which, in a culture obsessed with marriage, is a serious cause for concern. Things come to a head at her youngest sister’s wedding when her overbearing mother thrusts her into a matchmaking with an Edo man. But in an unexpected turn of events, Isoken meets Kevin who she finds herself falling in love with and he just might be what she truly wants in a partner.

The movie stars Dakore Akande, Joseph Benjamin, Marc Rhys, Funke Akindele, Lydia Forson, Damilola Adegbite, Tina Mba, Patrick Doyle, Bolanle Olukanni and others.
